These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Akshara Technologies ("LactoSync", "we", "us"), governing your access to and use of the LactoSync mobile app, admin web dashboard, and website (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
If you are registering on behalf of a business (a dairy farm), you confirm you have the authority to bind that business to these Terms.
LactoSync provides software to help manage dairy operations, including customer and subscription management, delivery-route planning and tracking, automated billing and payment tracking, milk-production/preparation tracking, and WhatsApp/push notifications. Features available to you depend on your plan (see Section 5).
The Service supports three connected experiences: Farm Owners administer the account and are the primary contracting party with LactoSync; Delivery Staff are added by a Farm Owner to access route and delivery features, and their access can be revoked by the Farm Owner at any time; Customers are added by a Farm Owner to access a self-service portal for their own orders, bills, and vacation requests. LactoSync is not a party to the underlying commercial relationship between a Farm Owner and their customers or staff — disputes about milk quality, pricing, or delivery service itself are between the Farm Owner and their customer/staff member, not LactoSync.

LactoSync helps you record and track payments (cash, UPI, bank transfer) that your own customers make to your dairy business. We are a record-keeping tool, not a payment processor or a party to those transactions — we do not hold, remit, or guarantee funds exchanged between you and your customers. Any online payment link or QR code you configure (e.g., your own UPI ID) is your responsibility to set up correctly.

You (and your customers/staff, through you) retain ownership of the data you enter into LactoSync — customer records, billing history, product catalogs, and so on. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that data solely to provide the Service to you. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
The LactoSync name, logo, app, website, and underlying software are owned by Akshara Technologies and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our branding except as necessary to use the Service as intended.
The Service integrates with third-party providers — including the WhatsApp Business Platform (Meta), Firebase push notifications (Google), and payment/UPI apps you choose to use. Your use of those integrations is also subject to the relevant third party's own terms. We are not responsible for outages or changes made by third-party providers that are outside our control.
We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, and the mobile app supports offline delivery marking with sync-on-reconnect for exactly this reason. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and the Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control (e.g., internet outages, third-party provider downtime).
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Akshara Technologies and LactoSync shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 3 months preceding the claim, or ₹5,000, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
You agree to indemnify and hold Akshara Technologies harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party (including your own customers or staff).
We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay outstanding fees after notice, or if required to comply with law. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, but provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g., limitation of liability, governing law) will continue to apply. We will provide a reasonable window to export your data before permanent deletion, except where immediate termination is required by law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable consumer-protection law, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. We encourage you to first contact us to resolve any issue informally before pursuing formal proceedings.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes (including pricing changes), notify Farm Owners via the app or email in advance. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
